Flexible warehouse solution for nowaste logistic
Nowaste Logistics’ new terminal in Stigamo, located just outside Jönköping, required a highly flexible storage solution that could be quickly adapted as needs evolved. A short lead time was also a key requirement, which BLS was able to meet.
Climate-smart facility
The new terminal at Stigamo by Nowaste Logistics is a highly modern and climate-smart facility. The warehouse is built with a timber frame, collects rainwater from the roof for toilet flushing, and has a solar panel system in place. In addition to the racking solution provided by BLS, the warehouse also features a 30-meter high crane warehouse, pallet shuttle system, and an Autostore system.
17,000 pallet positions with a short delivery time
The new terminal is constructed with glulam beams and has set the standard for future sustainability. It has been certified according to BREEAM Excellent and NollCO2, meaning the building's lifecycle will have a net-zero climate impact. The terminal is also at the forefront of both technology and automation. Here, we are proud to say that we delivered approximately 17,000 pallet positions, and all of this was accomplished in a very short timeframe.
Flexible storage solution was crucial
Since the majority of the building is automated, flexibility and the ability to quickly modify and expand the storage solution were crucial for Nowaste. As a result, the choice was made to partner with BLS, a local supplier that could provide a solution capable of meeting these requirements and adapting as needs evolve.
BLS lived up to the expectations

Along the way, we had to adjust the original layout, which was easy to do with BLS as the supplier. We have been able to modify the layout on-site as needed."
Fast delivery from BLS
BLS was able to deliver quickly, and the short installation time was a significant advantage. The project required fast decisions and efficient management. All materials were delivered just five weeks after the first contact between BLS and Nowaste, and after another five weeks, the pallet racking system was fully completed and ready for use. The warehouse solution delivered by BLS met the customer's needs in terms of both flexibility and the ability to adapt over time.
