Pallet racking
Pallet handling from BLS
What does your warehouse look like? It doesn’t really matter. BLS’s pallet racking is customised to make your flow more efficient. Your pallet racking will emerge on the drawing board, fully in line with your specifications. The framework for the project is set by the pallet dimensions, the type of goods, the load in question, forklift aisles, the floor area and the ceiling height.
BLS are experts when it comes to pallet racking
Show us your storage space and we’ll create pallet racking that is tailored to your needs. It’s as simple as that. Through conversations about what type of pallet you are intending to store and what the conditions will be like, we will create a pallet racking solution that helps you to become more efficient and competitive. The skilled employees at our factory in Småland have built optimised pallet racking solutions for cold storage, narrow aisle and wide aisle warehouses, crane warehouses and mobile pallet racking systems, to name just a few.
Add accessories for safe and smart pallet storage
Are you going to be storing large or small items, light or heavy goods, frozen products or rolling goods? No problem. We have accessories for most things! Examples of accessories include pull-out units, beam shelf mesh, beam shelves, dividers, half-pallet inserts and much more. Visit BLS’s webshop to see all the accessories.
BLS’s mobile systems
If you want to maximise your storage space, a mobile pallet racking system may be exactly what you are looking for. With mobile pallet racking, you can use up to 90% more of your storage space. This is made possible by minimising the number of forklift aisles, which allows the floor space to be used pretty much to its full potential. Mobile systems are an excellent option for tyre storage, archive shelving and cold storage, for example.
Securing the pallet racking
Safety mesh and upright protectors are important accessories that are also required in accordance with the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations when staff are working directly adjacent to the pallet racking.
Service agreement including inspection
Do you want to be sure that BLS’s racking will continue to deliver in the best and safest way after the warranty has expired? Why not enter into a service agreement? Our service agreement extends the warranty by one year at a time. Inspection and maintenance of the racking are included in the agreement. If anything should need to be adjusted, you will be notified through the accompanying action plan. Once we have implemented any necessary measures, you can sit back and relax, secure in the knowledge that the racking will continue to maintain the same high level of safety for another year.

Are you missing something or would you like to know more? If so, feel free to contact us and we will help you adapt your pallet racking to the products you are intending to store instead.
When do I need upright protectors for my pallet racking?
According to the Swedish Work Environment Act, it is necessary to have upright protectors when there is a risk of driving into the racking. This means that upright protectors must be in place in locations where mechanical loading and unloading are performed with a forklift or other similar equipment. On the other hand, it does not need to be present when materials are loaded by hand onto the racking, for example.
Do I have to inspect my pallet racking?
All warehouse equipment has to be inspected annually. Read more and book your inspection here.
What aspects are important to consider when buying pallet racking?
It is important to consider what is going to be stored on your pallet racking and the weight of the goods in question. Pallet racking is extremely flexible, and there are many accessories that enable it to be adapted according to your storage needs. However, the pallet racking’s frames and beams can only handle up to a certain load, depending on the maximum load you choose to buy. This means that it can be a good idea to figure out in advance the weight of the load that is going to be placed on your pallet racking.
Is it okay to replace components in my pallet racking that have been driven into?
Yes, it’s okay to replace damaged components. Damaged load-bearing parts must be replaced immediately as they pose a safety hazard. The parts of the pallet racking that are not damaged do not need to be replaced.
What is the maximum pallet height that can fit on the pallet racking?
Since you can easily adjust the beams vertically, you can decide the height between the load-bearing levels yourself. As a result, it is not the height of the pallets that is likely to be a problem, but rather the maximum load on the pallet racking and ensuring that the frame height is sufficient.
