Pallet flow racking
Live storage in the racking is ideal for palletised goods
Do you have a high turnover of palletised goods? If so, pallet racking with live storage may be the right choice. Pallet flow racks allow you to make full use of the space in your premises, as the number of forklift aisles is minimised. BLS offers gravity roller conveyors (FIFO) or push back pallet racking (FILO). Regardless of the method, you can rest assured that the right goods will always be at the front – ready for collection.
Do flow racks work everywhere?
The short answer is yes, if we are talking about indoor racking on a concrete floor. Here at BLS, we will help you to adapt the flow racking solution according to your needs. Live storage in racking is an excellent choice when you need to handle large volumes of the same type of goods. It is perfectly possible to use our flow racks in cold storage settings.
Did you know that you create more pallet spaces in the same area as traditional pallet racking? This is achieved, quite simply, by reducing the number of forklift aisles.
Common denominators for gravity roller conveyors and push back roller conveyors
Common to both storage methods are the possibilities they offer. Neither the size nor the weight of the goods is particularly important, as the racking is adapted to your wishes and storage needs. We tailor the solution according to the type of forklift being used at the collection point. BLS’s inclined pallet flow racking ensures that the goods are always in the collection position.
Gravity roller conveyors – perfect for date-marked goods
If your goods are date-marked and have a limited shelf life, gravity roller conveyor racking is preferable. Here, the pallets are stored in accordance with the FIFO principle (first in, first out). The pallets are loaded from one side and collected from the other. Transport between loading and unloading is performed safely using brake rollers that control the speed.
Push back system – ideal when you’re short on floor space
Push back roller conveyors are drive-in racking on rollers – ideal when you’re short on floor space. Here, the pallets are stored in accordance with the FILO principle (first in, last out). Unlike gravity roller conveyor racking, loading and unloading take place from the same side. This means that you only need one forklift aisle and that the racking can be placed against a wall. You can pick goods from any level you want and you can stack many pallets deep.
Service agreement including inspection
Do you want to be sure that BLS’s racking continues to deliver in the best and safest way? Why not enter into a service agreement? Annual inspections and maintenance of the racking are included in the agreement. If anything should need to be adjusted, you will be notified through the accompanying action plan. Once we have implemented any necessary measures, you can sit back and relax, secure in the knowledge that the racking will continue to maintain the same high level of safety for another year.
