Tyre hotel for a modern car and experience centre
Røhne & Selmer has transformed an old warehouse into a state-of-the-art car and experience centre with the help of BLS AB. By installing a mobile tyre hotel and other innovative solutions, they have created a facility that offers an enhanced customer experience and efficient handling of tyres and spare parts.

Røhne & Selmer took over an existing building, previously ASKO’s central warehouse in Lierstranda. The building was old and worn, filled with outdated shelving units in every room. BLS quickly became a key partner in the project to transform the facility into a state-of-the-art car and experience centre, focusing on the entire Ford portfolio of services and brands.
A new tyre hotel on mobile trolleys
BLS assisted in dismantling and removing all pallet racking before the contractor began the work of rehabilitating the entire building structure. At the same time, we designed a new tyre hotel on mobile trolleys to be installed on an existing slab.
There were several challenges, including a slanted wall that required us to use progressively shorter trolleys along the back wall in order to maximise space utilisation. BLS installed rails, and a topping layer was added to the existing floor.
Capacity of approximately 3000 sets
The main delivery consisted of a mobile tyre hotel for standing wheels, with a capacity of approximately 3000 sets. The wheels are easily retrieved and stored in an ergonomic manner using a TowerLift tyre truck, and the mobile trolleys move effortlessly with a simple press of the remote control.
Small parts warehouse and pallet racking
In addition to the racking for the tyre hotel, BLS also supplied the complete small parts warehouse, with thousands of shelf metres of small parts racking (note: not Metro), as well as pallet racking for the storage of vehicle body components, wheels, and other large spare parts.
The project required close collaboration
The project required close collaboration between the customer and BLS, active participation in coordination meetings with the contractor to ensure progress throughout the construction phase, and a significant final effort towards the end of the build to help the customer open the facility on schedule.
